A Beautiful Wedding of My Friend

Wedding is the most extravagant, time consuming and yet the most beautiful celebration a couple will be celebrating. It is a celebration of two people loving and caring each other. It is a public announcement of their unending and unparalleled love for each other.

Last January, a friend of mine had her moment of her life. Rica marries his knight of shining armor. Looking at her wedding pictures, she is stunningly beautiful. Everything is magnificent, the church decoration made her the most beautiful walking down the aisles. The flowers adorned and captivated her elegant wedding gown. She perfectly glows as she walks the red carpet.

The reception is stunningly beautiful too. Everything was laid out, the details are perfectly well planned. The lights made a statement and created a story of the whole event.

However, the preparation is long and tedious and definitely drains your strength. To plan for your wedding here are some tips to have your wedding as elegant as Rica’s wedding day.

1.       Plan and set your date a year in advance. It will give you the whole year to plan and prepare for the big day! It will give you an ample amount of time to buy everything. If you still don’t have the exact date and time make sure that you at least have as to what time or season of the year you want to get marry or even just the month.
2.       Know your Budget. After setting up the date of your wedding the next best thing to do of course is to know your budget. Start first with the budget that both of you have. Do not expect for your siblings and your parents to shell out some money for your wedding day. It is always advisable to at least make sure both (couples) have a savings in place that you can start working on. How much are you both willing to spend for the church decorations, dress, giveaways, venue, and other stuff that you want to have in your wedding day.
3.       Hire your Wedding Planner. If you can afford a wedding planner, it will be a perfect idea. Remember though that a wedding planner will only be there to supervise and plan with you as you go along the whole process of preparation. They will only execute your idea and your plan. You should be the one telling them how your wedding would look like. If a wedding planner insists on his or her designs and idea FIRE YOUR WEDDING PLANNER.
4.       Create a calendar of activities. You should list down all the things that you need to do in getting married. That is why you need a wedding a planner since they will be the one to help you figure out all the things that you need to accomplish. You should work with the wedding planner from the very beginning to lay down your calendar of activities. Here are some of the things you shouldn’t miss: Wedding attire for the whole entourage (fitting, buying, making final adjustment nearer the event), Getting all the documents needed, attending all seminars needed, floral designs, food tasting, scouting for reception, and the list goes.

It’s the preparation that makes your wedding as beautiful as it could be. The planning and sorting out of ideas can make a great deal at the day of your wedding day.

Going back to my friend’s wedding, I felt too bad that I didn’t make it to the celebration. I am dying to see how gorgeous she will be in her wedding gown adorned by the firmness of her Knight and Shinning Armor Gerry. So I ended up stalking on her facebook posts of her wedding day as people are tagging her on the photos they took on her wedding day.

With of course Rica's permission here are some of her photos.
