Exploring Lobo Batangas

Its been a long time since I went to a beach. The last time was when I met my bff in Ilo-ilo and that was ages ago. Lucky enough, I got some group that I can hop into and join the fun. Kumbaga saling pusa lang ako. As long as I would go places I dont mnd being the saling pusa in the group you know hahaha. So of course as a saling pusa in the group, I would also share in whatever expenses that they have right? Haha

So for my non Filipino readers if there are any, saling pusa means you are the odd man in the group hahaha I mean, saling pusa is a tagalog idiom where it means to tag along. In a nutshell, you are joining in a group where you basically knows only one or two people in that group. So example your friend is travelling together with his or her friends and then you aked if you can join them, in this case you are the saling pusa. (I hope I am able to explain that well hahaha)

Ok there you go, lets go back to story telling about my travel to Batangas with some New Friends.

I always crave of going to the beach. However, because there is so much going on I always postpone it and keep pushing it on the side. Well, good thing I have some friends that I can alway hop in and join their barkada getaways and that day has come!

The warm breeze of summer wind, the scorching heat that feels like you are in a sauna and of course a group of equally fun people to be with would definitely make this summer excursion truly amazing! And so we packed our picknic shenanigans load them up in a car and off we go exploring the beautiful

THE GANG
Introducing the whole gang that makes this summer of 2026 really special. To be honest a snaller group makes more sense to me because at least I get to interact with each of them. Learn a little of their lives, learn from their background and it would be much more easier to connect. Most specially if you are meeting some of them for the first time.

THE FOODIE IN ME

To experience the place you get to taste the food the place has to offer. At least for me thats what I believe in. It is the best way to show gratitude, to welcome guests and to introduce the place you are visiting. I had a blast actually! Our host, Reyneth, was such a great cook. The food she served, Oh I can still taste it in my dream up to this date!

It was such a delightful feast indeed!

Exploring  Lobo Batangas

Lobo Batangas is situated at the southern tip of Batangas. It takes at least 2 hours and 45 minutes from Manila to Lobo Batangas via STAR TOLLWAY.  There are so many places to visit

How to get to Lobo Batangas?

If you have your own car then it is easier right? You can just use your google map.  Dont worry its prett accurate so you wont get lost. How ever if you are commuting then here is how:

** go to Buendia at DLTBCO Terminal bound to Batangas Grand Terminal. Then take a jeep bound to BAYAN take the yellow jeep either stop at Hilltop Rd then take a jeep bound to SM CITY Batangas ask for the jeepney terminal bound to Lobo.

The Sparkling Ocean of Lobo Batangas

I must say, the sea is crisp and crystal clear! It indeed so relaxing. The sea breeze is so relaxing. The waves are calm and the sunset is as beautiful as the people and the place.

Faro De Punta Malabrigo - The Malabrigo Point House

I am so honored to have a glimpse of the Malabrigo Point Lighthouse.  It is overlooking the Verde Island Passage. It is also one of the oldest working lighthouse. It is situated at Barangay Malabrigo Lobo Batangas. The lighthouse it self is super amazing, witnessing an architectural design dated way back during Spanish Colonial Era. My jaw dropped when I saw the mighty sea of the Verde Island Passage adorned with  the crystal blue water. The moment I saw the beach I know I got to try playing by the seashore. I just hope the government pays more attention in preserving such iconic and historical places such as the Faro De Punta Malabrigo instead of focusing so much on changing the street names.

Going down the cliff is easy breezy! The wind blows smoothly, you can hear the waves so inviting. The sunset was beautiful. I was not stinged by jelly fish not even once.

Just below the lighthouse was a stunning beach. The beach looks so familiar that I am starting to believe this is where some of the scenes shot on a teleserye Dyesibel. Anyways, going down the cliff was just a walk at the park kind of thing. Its easy to go down that cliff. But of my lord, going up was a test of strength. I was catching up with my breath. It was a struggle for sure but thats the beauty of travelling. Experiencing walking up the cliff made me forgot all my worries and personal and professional drama hahaha all I really wanted to conquer this and finishing it strong hahahaha Up until now I can still feel the struggle.

Monte Maria

Monte Maria is another story. One of theeir aminities that I love is the walk in a glass bridge. It is not for people with a faint of heart I would say that. But the thrill of seeing people walking by that suspended glass bridge was sooo satisfying.

Inside the statue, you can of course see the church, it has some food stalls and other stalls that sells merchandizes, I just wish they will make it more personalized. Like the fan that I bought there it is just a normal fan that you can buy anywhere. How I wish in the future they can make it as a souvenir item with the name of the place for someone who wish to buy something as a memorabilia of the place they are visiting.

DEVOURING TITA ROSE EATERY MENU

I am not a picky eater most of the time. However of course there are some foods that is not really that attractiv to my pallate. And one of them is Lomi. Apparently that is one of Batangas best cuisine. As I always say, "eat what the locals eat and be surprised with eat", and so I did. The first food that I ordered at Tita Rose is their Lomi with the exceptional recommendation of Reyneth. And oh was I surprised by it. It is not as slimy as I immagined it to be. It was freshly cooked. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the soup was to the roof, and above all it was served steaming hot.

Thats A Wrap

And so that ends me experiencing and exploring Malabrigo Lobo Batangas and I am already missing the exprience!
